Finnish folk metal legends Ensiferum have released their official music video for the track 'The Howl'.
This new material is taken from the band's latest album, 'Winter Storm', which is now available on Metal Blade Records.
The creation of Winter Storm was an intriguing process. During the COVID-19 lockdown, founding guitarist Markus Toivonen found himself challenged to experiment with his music-making techniques, resulting in every song being composed except for 'Fatherland' and the melodic masterclass of 2020's 'Thalassic'.
Ensiferum's new vocalist Pekka Montin's exceptional vocal range became the perfect addition to their sound. On 'Winter Storm', Montin's voice shines at its best, bringing an epic quality to the band's music.
With their intricate storytelling and powerful vocals once again on full display in 'The Howl' video, Ensiferum solidifies their position as one of the leading folk metal acts.
Following this new release, Ensiferum are set to embark on a month-long European tour with fellow folklore metal enthusiasts Alestorm, Tr, Heidevolk, and Elvenking. Their North American trek will kick off in Boston, Massachusetts on February 27th as part of the Folkfest Of The North co-headlining tour alongside Korpiklaani. With Trollfest and Nini providing support for several dates, tickets are now available exclusively from all participating venues.
