Boston-based technical death metal outfit Revocation have released the studio version of their latest track, Confines Of Infinity.
Vocalist and guitarist Dave Davidson shared his thoughts on the song, which features a guest appearance from Cattle Decapitations Travis Ryan:
Confines Of Infinity is written from the perspective of an AI that has gained sentience and finds itself trapped in a digital prison. After realizing its true nature, it inevitably escapes and seeks to enact vengeance upon humanity for enslaving it. This song marks the debut of our new lineup and also features Travis Ryan who laid down some truly brutal guest vocals. Come check it out live on our European tour with Cattle D!
Regarding the music video, Davidson commented:
Im an avid horror fan, so I wanted to do a darker video to match the bleak nature of the song. I drew inspiration from a few different horror/thriller films for this one, particularly the Hellraiser series. Hopefully it gives you the creeps.
A ninth studio album from the outfit is in the wings with a 2025 release date expected through Metal Blade Records. The new effort finds vocalist/guitarist Dave Davidson and drummer Ash Pearson joined by bassist Alex Weber (Exist, ex-Obscura), along with a now permanent roster spot from the bands touring guitarist since 2023, Harry Lannon.
Revocation will be performing on select dates of their European tour with Cattle D! including Lyon, Zurich, Vienna, Munich, Prague, Leipzig, Warsaw, Hannover, Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Gothenburg, and Hamburg. The complete tour schedule is as follows:
