Feuerschwanz Continues to Ignite the Scene with Medieval Rock

German Band Feuerschwanz Unveils New Video 'Gangnam Style' Ahead of Upcoming Album 'Knightclub'

In a bold move, German band Feuerschwanz has released their unique take on the popular K-pop tune 'Gangnam Style', months ahead of their highly anticipated album 'Knightclub'. The track showcases the band's signature blend of medieval rock and humor, with the added twist of singing in Korean.

Founded in 2000 by bassist Peter Henrici, along with violinist Tobias Heindl and fellow bassist Andre Linke, Feuerschwanz began life as a comedic medieval rock outfit. The trio's vision was to inject some humor into the often-serious genre of medieval folk rock. They were soon joined by flautists Bastian Brenner and Jan Schindler, with Schindler later switching to the bass.

Over the years, the band has undergone numerous lineup changes, with musicians such as Heindl, Brenner, and Linke taking on the stage name 'Hodenherz' and later 'Hodi'. Despite these fluctuations, Feuerschwanz has remained true to its roots and continues to produce infectious, medieval-inspired rock music. The latest addition to their discography is Metvernichter, released in 2009, which featured guitarist Hans Platz joining the fold. They followed it up with Wunsch ist Wunsch in 2011, before releasing Walhalligalli a year later. Their fourth studio album, set to be released on Napalm Records, promises to further cement their reputation as one of Germany's most beloved medieval rock bands.
