Age of Ruin Returns with 'Heavy is the Crown' Single
Metalcore stalwarts Age of Ruin have released a new single, 'Heavy is the Crown', the first single from their forthcoming album 'Nothingman.' A B-side track, 'Holding on', has also been included and is available on various platforms.
The upcoming album, 'Nothingman,' comprises 10 songs that promise to deliver harmony and angst, setting the bar high for their peers. The band spent two years recording, capturing tracks at various locations including the Bakery Studio, Ivakota Studio, and Riff Dojo in Richmond, VA
After months of preparation, Age of Ruin set out on a promotional tour in 2023 and 2024, sharing their material with diverse acts such as Black Flag, Madball, Jimmy's Chicken Shack, and Anvil. This marks the return of a true headbanger's incantation, showcasing ripping guitars, unforgivably brutal drums, and screeching vocals.
The band's punk and metal roots are firmly intact, with thrash tendencies on full display in their new material. 'Nothingman' promises to branch out over new tonal terrain and soundscape, reminding fans of the enduring power of Age of Ruin
Scheduled to be released on October 17, 'Nothingman' will be available in all formats and on various streaming platforms.
