Inferi Drummer Spencer Moore Joins Archspire as New Drummer

Canadian technical death metal masters Archspire have officially announced the addition of Inferi drummer Spencer Moore to their lineup, taking over for Spencer Prewett who departed the band in September 2024.

Moore's official appointment was confirmed earlier today, with the band playfully referencing him as Spencer 2 in a statement announcing his arrival. A new video of Moore performing on a previously unreleased track from the band has been shared alongside the announcement post.

Initially entering the studio in March to commence work on their next album, Archspire are set to return next month to complete the recording process at Flatline Audio. The band has expressed their excitement over having Moore join their lineup and has released a statement as follows:

Some say less is more but WE believe MOORE is more Next month, were heading to Flatline Audio to finish our fifth (and best) album with the best drummer we could ask for: SPENCER MOORE!!! Heres a taste of Spencer 2 tearing through a brand new track at 420 bpm. isnt just for stoners anymore.

In related news, Inferi has confirmed that Spencer Moore has officially parted ways with the band. In his wake, Nathan Bigelow will be handling drumming duties on an interim basis.

The band released a statement regarding the transition as follows:

Cats out of the bag.
After years of service to Inferi, our brother Spencer Moore has decided to leave and accept the position as drummer of @archspireofficial. We wish him well on his new endeavour. With a new album and more tour announcements on the horizon, we will not be slowing down.

In the meantime, you can catch Nathan Bigelow (Arkaik / Singularity) behind the kit filling in for us.

Well see you soon!
