Cage Fight Unveils Intense New Single 'PIG' and Powerful Protest Against Sexual Harassment
Cage Fight have released their latest single, PIG, a powerful and urgent track that tackles the pressing issue of sexual harassment women face online and offline.
The bands frontwoman Rachel Aspe sheds light on the inspiration behind the song, revealing her motivations for creating it. PIG is my expression of disgust at men sending unsolicited intimate pictures, messages, crossing boundaries and harassing women digitally, she explains.
Aspe shares a personal experience with receiving hundreds of unwanted messages over the years, stating that its 'crazy to think' that many everyday women face similar situations every day. She aims to use her song as an outlet for anger, raising awareness about this pervasive issue and showing solidarity with other women who suffer from abuse.
Cage Fight will soon hit the road once again for a series of five dates in support of Svalbards farewell UK tour. The band will perform in Glasgow on November 19th, Manchester on the 20th, Newcastle on the 21st, Bristol on the 22nd, and London on the 23rd of November, at Oslo Hackney.
The band is set to take their powerful music to audiences once again, using this tour as an opportunity to bring attention to the pressing issue they have written about through their song.
