Biography

Rick Healey founded 25 Ta Life in New York in 1992, shortly after the separation of Agnostic Front from whom he was roadie. The band recorded a first demo in 1993 and began to play intensely with Madball, Neglect, Fear Factory, Carcass, Obituary, Life of Agony, Carnivore, Sheer Terror and Leeway. A year later, 25 Ta Life recorded a mini cd on the SFT Records label and began a tour of the East Coast of the USA, followed in 1995 by the release of the first album entitled Keepin It Real. The band sailed for Europe in 1996 for a first leading tour that lasted 6 weeks. Between two tours, Rick takes the opportunity to realize his parallel project Comin' Correct on a split with 25 Ta Life . But the latter remains the main activity of the New York frontman. The band recorded in 1997 the album Strenght Thru Unity...The Spirit Remains on Triple Crown/Goodlife records which achieved a relative success since it sold 20,000 copies. 25 Ta Life followed on a second European tour leading the poster with Rykers and Stormcore, among others. A tour of the East Coast of the States culminated in the New York Roseland in front of 5,000 people. Indefatigable and with a very good reputation in Europe, 25 Ta Life again visits the old continent for an evening tribute to Raybeez, singer of Warzone, in the Netherlands in front of 2500 people. After recording Friendship, Loyalty, Commitment and a tour in Japan, the band still felt the need to take a break. 25 Ta Life only returned to business in 2002 on a 50-date tour, with a new album entitled Best of Friends/Elemies, released in Europe on the label The Age of Venus. Old school fan Americans will make a lot of splits with different bands of the scene during their career, among many others: Last Hope, Tromatized Youth or Cut Throat. 25 your Life likes to share its HxC with the formations but especially on stage, they are very popular in Europe where they come regularly to participate in the festivals offered by the old continent such as Dour (Belgium) in 2005. The line-up being very unstable only Rick Healey renamed "Rick ta Life" is the constant of the formation, he will participate in all recordings and tours. Back in the bins will release EP Fallen Angel in 2006, then Strenght, Integrity, Brotherhood in 2009, which remains to date the last studio album of 25 ta Life .
