A Winged Victory For The Sullen

On 24 May 2007 in Bologna, Italy, Adam Bryanbaum Wiltzie ( Stars Of The Lid) is on tour with Sparklehorse . That night Adam invited a friend to him, Francesco Donatello, accompanied by composer and pianist Dustin O'Halloran. After strange backstage conversations, especially about their passion for Italian gastronomy, a curious friendship arose between Dustin and Adam. In 2010, Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse committed suicide. The two friends founded A Winged Victory For The Sullen to honour him. The album, between Neo-Classic music and Ambient, was released in 2011 by Erased Tapes.
