Abigor

Abigor is an Austrian band from the beginning in Black Metal. Formed in 1993 around Peter Kubik (P.K.) and Thomas Tannenberger (T.T.) in Vienna, the band experienced frequent changes of singers (three times in the space of six years), and saw Silenius (Summoning) on the microphone from 1994 to 1999. On the inspiration side, the band draws like so many other formations in the universe of J.R.R. Tolkien, but also turns to satanistic inclinations found in both the texts and the album titles. In 1999, T.T. left the group for various reasons. Among them, the feeling that Black Metal is gradually moving away from its original essence over the years. After two albums in his absence, Abigor split up in 2003. Three years later, T.T. and P.K. are back working together and the training is re-emerging, to release Fractal Possession in 2007, released at End All Life Production. In 2014, the band was signed by Avantgarde Music and released Leytmotif Luzyfer , his ninth effort. Little respite for our duo who released three titles on Kingdom Of Darkness, then collaborated with Thy Darkened Shade , Mortuus and Nightbringer on a split. 2018 sees the arrival of Höllenzwang (Chronicles of Perdition) , which once again demonstrates the group's ability to renew itself.
