Aborted
Biography
Founded in Belgium in 1995 by Sven de Caluwé, (Chant), Aborted was gradually built and released in 1999 its first real album, The Purity Of Perversion, supported by the Uxicon Records label. After a split with Christ Denied released in 2000, Aborted changed label for Listable Records and released Engineering The Dead in 2001. The band is known by numerous tours alongside, among others, Dying Fetus, Vader and Kataklysm. In 2002 released the split with Drowning , Brodequin and Misery Index , followed in 2003 by Goremageddon , the album of the consecration, so far the most professional and completed of their discography. A year later, the band released the ep The Haematobic , followed a year later by The Archaic Abattoir , produced by Tue Madsen (The Haunted , Sick Of It All ), revealing a more melodic and accessible facet of the band. In February 2007, after turning to Cryptopsy nottament and having undergone many changes of line-up, the group shoved the nail and confirmed the more melodic route imprugged on The Archaic Abattoir with Slaughter&Apparatus: A Methodical Overture, supported by the Century Media Records label. December 2009 marks a major change in the group's formation. Indeed, all members, except Sven de Caluwé, will leave Aborted. They will be replaced by Eran Segal and Ken Sorceron on guitars, Cole Martinez on bass and finally, Dirk Verbeuren on drums, who had left the band in 2004. With this new line up, a new EP was released in 2010, titled Coronary Reconstruction . In the summer of 2011, after a new line up change (JB Van der Wal on bass, Ken Bedene on drums), Aborted recorded Global Flatline, in a different style from the latest album Strychnine 213 but in the continuity of the EP Coronary Reconstruction. The album released in January 2012 is well received by the press and fans. In 2014 the Belgians returned with the crushing The Necrotic Manifesto which plunges a little more the nail and is the formation in the elite of the Brutal Death Meal. In 2015 Aborted celebrates its 20 years of career with the release in early January 2016 of the EP Ending Redux .
