Acetate Zero
Biography
Acetate Zero was born from jam sessions between Elsa Diot (voice, guitar, bass and piano), Fabrice Neybecker (voice and guitar) and Stéphane Recrosio (voice, guitar, bass) at the end of 1996, Paris. Inspired by Disco Inferno , Dead C , Hood or Bedhead , they decided to record a first production in 1998, The sad beautiful quintessence , in limited edition, mix of pop, saturated guitars and electronic effects of all kinds. In 1999, they released their first album, Softcore Paradise - still in limited edition - which was subsequently re-published by an overseas record company in 2003.
A limited series of EP and SP are released each year between 2000 and 2002 ( Diabolus in musica EP , Pieces in trouble EP and Northland Tragedy SP ).
Signed also on Arbouse Recordings, they released their second album that year; Ground Altitude . A break is invited, concerts are rare, it is time to re-edit the first album under Drumkid Records and integrate Laurent Box (guitar, bass and drums) as well as Gaël Quintric (guitar, bass, drums and horns) into the Parisian formation.
In 2004, the quintet gave birth to their 3rd full-length, Crestfallen , more abrasive and noise than the old productions. The following year, a new EP, Somehow about perfection, was released as well as a live, We Deny This, in 2006 and a new EP the year after with The Lathe Empire.
In 2008 their fourth effort, Civilize the Satanists , was born with a more satin pop renaissance and easier listening. Finally, Hesitation Blues is the album that brings them to the front of the stage with a good reception by the press: ballad pop, tracks (post-)rock intertwine. Until 2011 they will prepare their final production, a double album called Le Regulation Préclé du Zero , putting an end to their history from the start of one of the group's founders, Fabrice Neybecker, at the other end of the earth. From this end two new formations will be born, one led by Stéphane Recrosio under the name of Astatine and the other French Leisure with Elsa Diot, Laurent Box and Gaël Quintric for a rock in line with Sonic Youth wrapped in pop.
