Acid Bath

First appeared under the name Golgotha in 1991, the Acid Bath entity really took shape the following year around the personalities of Mike Sanchez (guitar), Jimmy Kyle (battery) Sammy Pierre Duet (guitar), Dax Riggs (chant) and Audie Pitre (bass). The five jeunots trade from the bottom of their native Louisiana a glaucous and peaty hybrid metal, which places them by the force of things in the front line of the Sludge offensive of the early 1990s. The pioneer of the genre, the quintet nevertheless stands out by a sensitivity to the flower of skin that will become more and more present over its six (short) years of existence to reach its peak on their second and ultimate disc Paegan Terrorism Tactics.
