Biography

Ooki Nobuo : singing, guitar Satou Masatoshi : bass Urayama Ichigo : drums
1997, a private high school in Saitama, senior year (finally Japanese equivalent). The four members of Acidman (Shiibashi Takeshi, Ooki Nobuo, Satou Masatoshi and Urayama Ichigo) meet and continue their studies at the same university. The first concerts will take place a few months later in Shimokitazawa, the band distributing their first K7 demos free of charge to the few spectators/listers present. The routine settles and after two years Shiibashi leaves the group, leaving Ooki to take the microphone. In the same year, the same latter obtained his diploma in pharmacy and financed as he could the group, until 2000, the year of their first contract with the indeterminate label Nomadic Records. Things start well with the single "Sekitou" that climbs to the third place of the Japanese indecisive charts; His successor, the maxi Sankazora , will have a much more modest success. This will not prevent them from making their first important dates alongside the Husking Bee and Bloodthirsty Butchers pioneers.
Also in 2002, Toshiba/EMI Japan marked them and made them sign a contract for several records, the first will be Sou (9th of the Oricon charts) who will earn them a Japan Gold Disc Award for the new talent category. The releases will then follow quickly, at the same pace as the tours (including The Back Horn , The Band Apart and Husking Bee ): Loop in 2003, Equal in 2004 and And World in December 2005.
2006 is the year DVD, with the digital broadcast of the last concert of the tour "And World" on April 09 at Zepp, Tokyo. In August they also took part in the famous Rock In Japan festival, before beginning writing their next opus.
