Adrenalin O.D. formed in 1981 in New Jersey on the ashes of an old punk band, The East Paterson Boys Choir. The first recordings appeared on the New York Thrash (ROIR) compilation in 1982 alongside Kraut, Bad Brains or Even Worse. The comic "Pauls Not Home" quickly became a radio hit in local high schools. Lets Barbeque , the band's first vinyl, was born on Adrenalin O.D.'s own label. As a result of budgetary restrictions, it is torched in a single 15-minute shot. The group's stage performances offered a mixture of super fast hardcore punk and comic stand up illustrated by rather original covers such as "Baby Elephant Walk" (Henry Mancini) or a surf rock version of "Hava Nagila". Adrenalin O.D. splitte in 1996 leaving behind him two classics of the hardcore punk of the 1980s, The Wacky Hijinks of Adrenalin OD and Humungousfungousamongous .
