Biography

The band was founded in 1994, under the impulse of Taliesin (guitar) and Amorgen (flutes and bombardments), two women, a rather rare point for a metal group, and more of extreme metal. In fact, their music is based on atmospheric black, with a strong component of Celtic music. The first demo was recorded in 1996 (Chronicles du Trépuscule ) and will be followed in 2000 by Mcd 2000, where the band's music became more violent, especially on black parts. The band's lyrics are now in French, another originality for an extreme metal band. The group then signed in 2001 with Sacral Productions, a label specialized in black. Their line-up becomes more stable with Vidar (chant), Tilion (guitar), JuanJolocaust (battery) and Milabre (bass), the latter being also a woman. Yes, Aes Dana can boast of perfect parity, which may not ultimately be foreign to the quality of their music. Their first album, The Wild Hunt , was released in 2001, a perfect fusion of all their influences, in devastating and enchanting music. The band changed its label in 2005 and landed at Oaken Shield, where they released Formors , a second album, which once again proved the talent of the six musicians.
