Against All Authority
Biography
Against All Authority is native to Miami, Florida. The band flew in 1992 around Danny Lore and Joe Koontz (joined by Jason Letterman behind the drums and Allan Levell at the trombone) with the aim of offering a self-produced punk taking its source in the street, while adding some rhythms and riffs ska. After several vinyls and a self-produced Destroys You Destroys, they signed with Hopeless Records / Subcity that released All Fall Down in 1998. From there, in the middle of the third ska wave, things are fast going on, 2 years of tour (one in Europe), a split with EP with The Criminals and they quickly acquire a reputation that will see its peak at the release of 24 Hour Roadside Resistance. Then they suddenly announce a break of a few years during which a cake of rarity, b-sides etc will come out ( Nothing New For Trash Like You ) and during which they will also lose their drummer Marcio in 2003 who will turn to his original band, The Crumbs . Their return is therefore hampered by this departure and various problems.
The resurrection will take place on the arrival of Mack Proenza to the battery and Alan Veronese to the trumpet. They recorded a CD split with Common Rider (Jesse Michael's band, ex-Operation Ivy) which appeared in 2005, then The Restoration of Chaos and Order in 2006 (the title comes from a lapsus by George W. Bush about the war in Iraq). Still at Hopeless Records, they start shooting full time...
