Biography

Alaskam is a young beatmaker from Nantais who begins to make his weapons at the age of 17, becoming exciting for MAO. Influenced among others by Ez3kiel and Aphex Twin, Francis of his real name will experiment some time before releasing his first album, Horizons, in 2010. He then put his finger in the gear and chained the self-production releases: Indelebile in 2012, Introspection in 2013 and Chute Libre in 2014. Three albums that will allow him to also accumulate concerts at the regional level and make a discographic break until 2017 and the production of two long formats during the same year, reflecting an evolution towards post-rock sounds although the dominant will remain electronic and trip-hop: Impact and Eveil . An evolution that will materialize the year after with the seventh album, Compromissions . In 2019 Alaskam partners with pianist and singer Célia for a project called Plan B , whose EP Barbelés will be released during the year. The Nantais is not unemployed since it releases its eighth disc, Cycles , early 2020, in a totally electronic vein.
