Alien Sex Fiend
Biography
Alien Sex Fiend is an English band formed in 1982 by Nik Fiend and his wife Chrissie Wade (Mrs Fiend). The first appearance of the duo took place at the famous Batcave club during the winter of 1982. The musicians quickly made a name in the Gothic scene with an industrial and crazy post-punk. The first opus, Who's Been Sleeping In My Brain? , reveals itself from the first psychotic and energetic note. The formula changes little and the albums follow each other, always with this batcave cocktail mixing gothic, post-punk, industrial and madness. Proud of its various successes, the band opens for Alice Cooper for example and their live performances are usually visual as well as sound shows, sometimes immortalized on albums like Too Much Acid? or Flashback! .
In 1996, Alien Sex Fiend created her own label, 13th Moon Records, and continued her musical quest, always via hallucinating music and staggered visuals. Besides many best-of and more than ten albums, the duo continues to perform and does not seem to have suffered for years. To date, Alien Sex Fiend has had limited success, their best album pointing to 100th place in the English charts.
