Biography

All Angels Gone, a Parisian orchestra group, distills atmospheric and delicate music in the vein of Godspeed You Black Emperor, A Silver Mt Zion or The Ascent Of Everest. It was in 2001 that Pierre-François, Vincent and Julien decided to set up a musical project. Their influences combined with Godspeed You Black Emperor , Sigur Ros and Radiohead , indicate the way forward. This is the birth of All Angels Gone. Pauline, Olivier and Franck join the formation, which now revolves around a column: songs, guitars, piano, cello. It was in 2005, with the arrival of Nicolas to the battery, that the group experienced a stable formation and a new impulse to compositions. Alexis, last come, works on the production and projection of videos during the concerts. Based on a tangle of harmonies and rhythms, which blow in turn calm Olympian and electric maelströms, the music of All Angels Gone is based above all on the atmosphere. Placed under the aegis of melancholy and contained rage, it is this atmosphere that creates emotion. All Angels Gone stretches her pieces and develops atmospheres inviting introspection and catharsis. The image is integrated into the work together and contributes to the setting up of the atmosphere which must seize the spectator and make him enter a little more into the universe of the group. A new synergy is created and gives birth to the definitive milling of All Angels Gone. After the release of a first ep in 2005 and a DVD Live two years later, All Angels Gone has been working for almost two years on his new project: writing songs for orchestra. For this new album to be released in 2013, the band records in part at IRCAM, with a formation of the COGE orchestra (Choeurs et Orchestre des Grandes Ecoles) of nearly 70 musicians..
