Biography

Formed in 2002 on the ashes of Christian Rock SaGoh's group 24/7, Anberlin is forced to stick the same label. Yet religion is not the horse of battle for this new formation. Indeed these natives of Winter haven / Florida, have more for vocation to be placed next to the new alternative / current emo scene such Mae or Acceptance. Remarked in 2003, Anberlin joined the Label Tooth & Nail Records and embarked on the adventure of a first album under the impetus of his two composers: Stephen Christian and Joseph Milligan. Headed by the singles "Readyfuels" and "Change the World (Lost Ones)", Blueprints for the Black Market met with an honorable success and the band began to make themselves known nationally with early games for Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance and Yellowcard. After a small but painful line-up change - the original guitarist Joey Bruce gives up his place to Nathan Strayer - the band embarks on the internet adventure using Myspace and Purevolume, and succeeds in his bet. Thanks to these two Anberlin sites, his number of fans increased every day, and after several successful commercial operations, Never Take Friendship Personal was released in February 2005. Three times more albums sold and tours to New Zealand end up making the band a must across the Atlantic. Still unknown in Europe, Anberlin hopes at last to conquer the old continent with a new opus: Cities , much longer and more worked than its predecessors ; as well as a new guitarist: Nathan Strayer leaving his instrument to Christian McAlhaney ( Acceptance ).
