The formations of each one being in stand-by, the friendship being she well alive, Benoit ( Baton Rouge , Daitro , Mihai Edrisch ), Arnaud ( Sed Non Satiata ) and Simon ( Plebeian Grandstand , Montreal On Fire ) decided to unite their talent to form Ancre . Taking on the post-rock evocations of Sed Non Satita's latest efforts by raising them with a heavier sound inherited from the echoes of the post-core scene and hatched by math rock protrusions, Ancre developed in 2011 a first one side ep called Mother of Pearl, recorded at the Halle aux grains (Toulouse) and released via a coproduction between Echo Canyon Records and Adagio 830.
