Biography
Quatuor trained in Belfast on the ashes of local formations, And So I Watch You From Afar won in a very short time as a group to follow closely within the nebula Post Rock. Already strong of two EPs, the discography of the band that opened among others for 65daysofstatic or High On Fire passes to the stadium higher in April 2009 with the release of a much awaited first album which, receives an enthusiastic welcome. A little less than a year later, while their reputation now allows them to share the poster with Oceansize, The Letters EP has extended the discography of the quartet at Smalltown America, their label of always. This EP confirms the more virulent orientation of Irish music developed on And So I Watch You From Afar. Back up like a Swiss clock (and like never before) the quartet announces its return for the first half of 2011 with Gangs despite the departure of Tony Wright, one of his original guitarists. Still two years later, it was this time at Sargent House ( Chelsea Wolfe, Marriages, Crypts...) that the quartet dropped its third opus: All Hail Bright Futures. Fourth long released in 2015, Heirs continues to give more room to clear singing, without attracting a wider audience. It is with this semi-deception in mind that the writing of The Endless Shimmering , this time totally without voices, but whose exit was strangely made by the small door of Sargent House in October 2017.
