Andy Yorke
Biography
Andy Yorke's musical journey leading him to a solo career seems quite banal. After the early years as a composer, singer and guitarist in the Unbelievable Truth formation, the younger brother of Tom Yorke (Radiohead ) decided to step back from the world of Pop, following the split of his band in 2000. Iatus caused by his desire to deepen his passion for history in general and that of Russia in particular, or studies taken up after divorce, we do not really know. But it is a tragic event that will bring him back to business for the first time. Before a second episodic return was made at the end of 2007 for the closure of a room, it was following the Asian tsunami that the group was reforming for a single date to raise funds. Is it the click that will give him the desire to go back to assault roads and studios? Here again the blur is total. Andy decided in 2008 to reimmerse himself in the same musical universe as Unbelievable Truth with the help of his period companions Nigel Powell and Jason Moulster: a soft, melodic and melancholic Pop and remarkable sobriety. His first solo album Simple , released quickly in July, followed by a first European tour full of promises.
