Angelcorpse

Angelcorpse is a band formed in 1995 by Gene Palubicki (guitar) and Pete Helmkamp (song/bass). A year later, after recruiting drummer John Longstreth, the band released the Goats To Azazael demo. Angelcorpse signed a contract with the French label Osmose Productions and recorded his first album Hammer of Gods in July 1996. Bill Taylor joined the band as second guitarist in October of the same year. The Americans left in December with Impaled Nazarene . Both groups travel Europe together. In May 1997, the EP Wolflust was released. The second opus of Angelcorpse , Exterminate , was recorded in November 1997 at the famous Morrisound Studios and released again at Osmose. A few months later, in March 98, drummer Tony Laureano replaced John Longstreth. The following month, the band toured Europe with Immortal, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Marduk and God Dethroned. At the end of 1998, the band returned to Florida to compose their 3rd album The Inexorable , which will again receive excellent reviews and definitely impose Angelcorpse in the course of the greats of Death Metal. In 2000 after a bus accident on a tour, Helmkamp seriously hurts his knee and foot, but still decides to continue. The band only cancels a date. Two weeks later, for other personal reasons, Helmkamp was forced to stop the tour, he was replaced by Alex Camargo. Once the tour is over, Helmkamp decides to leave Angelcorpse permanently. The remaining members then decided to stop the group. During this period will release the Iron compilation, Blood&Blasphemy . It consists of covers and tracks from demos. In 2005 Helmkamp and Palubicki started working together. In 2007 released Of Lucifer and Lightning with the collaboration of drummer Longstreth. S Surprised in 2015, Angelcorpse is reforming and preparing a new album that might appear in 2016, but before that, it is on the roads that the band gives fans.
