Biography

Originally from Pamplona in Spain, Antigua Y Barbuda formed in 2004 under the name Qwer, with which they played in several festivals (Tokyo Fest, Unicono Fest, etc.) and recorded their EP Ombligo Chronicles. After some changes in line-up, they recorded four songs from their live performances at Montreal studios with Hans Krueger and mixed and mastered at Ultramarino Costabrava by Santi Garcià, La Piràmida Invertida , released in 2008.
It was then that the encounter with the very young French label The Flying Elephant Records was made. At the end of 2008, they recorded their first album Try Future , recorded at the same studio and mixed by Kurt Ballou at the God City Studio ( Converge , Genghis Tron , Transistor transistor ). The band is currently composed of Guille (Battery / Chant), Germàn (Chant / Guitar / Keyboard), Alberto (Basse) and Asier (Guitare / Chant). In early spring 2009, the album Try Future was released on the labels The Flying Elephant Records for France and Arindelle Records for Spain. A European tour is planned for September 2009 while an EP is set up at the end of 2010.
