Biography

It was in 2009 that Antropofago was born under the impulse of guitarist Gordon Huillery (ex-Recuriate, Surgery). Quickly a demo of four eponymous tracks was released in 2010, with Melmoth The Wanderer (ex-Cryptic Reborn) singing. The clip of Ravenous , is shot a few months later. With the first concerts, and a lineup gradually stabilizing, the band matured. Antropofago then followed the concerts, and focused on the production of Beyond Phobia , his first album. The Brazilian label Miceli Records then contacted them to distribute their music. When Beyond Phobia broke out on the web at the beginning of 2011, it was 12 tracks of rare brutality that struck the netizens. The French go back on stage, sharing the poster with international and French bands such as Broken Hope, Internal Suffering, Hate, Vesania, Ulcerate, Svart Crown, Livarkahil, Mercy, Belphegor, Fleshdoll. On November 1, 2012, Antropofago announced its signature with the Kaotoxin Records label, and released on the same day an EP Between Fear And Madness available only in digital. After a change of guitarist, the band finished the production of its second album, Æra Dementiæ , which was released in August 2015, and attacked a series of concerts by the prestigious Metaldays festival in Slovenia.
