Biography
Arcade Fire: a happy meeting of a couple against tragic events. On a small university evening, Win Butler falls under the charm of Régine Chassagne's jazz-style vocal performances. At lightning, the two artists become inseparable and decide to set up a band. They welcomed Richard Parry to the organ, Tim Kingsbury to the bass, Win's brother Will to the keyboard/percus, Sarah Neufeld to the violin, and Jeremy Gara to the drums. This fine team, along with other stakeholders, formed The Arcade Fire in the summer of 2003. An EP was created in the same year, and the seventh was signed by Merge Records (American Music Club, Trail Of Dead). During the recording of Funeral , the combo from Montreal saw the death of Régine's grandmother, the grandfather of the Butler brothers, and Richard's aunt.
