Biography

It was by going back to London from Bath where the band formed in the 1990s that Archie Bronson Outfit was successful. So it's all about chance. To play in clubs in the English capital, the trio met Domino Records boss Laurence Bell one night in 2003. It was enough to sign a first deal and the release of Fur in the summer of 2004. Rather well received, with a mix of orientalizing sounds (especially via the use of a zurna) on a chalouped Indie Rock, the album allows the Archies to make the first part of the Black Keys in England. Eighteen months later, as it should be, the second album - Derdang Derdang , gives access to the American market, winning praise from Mojo and Uncut magazines. In 2007, the group paused, with time for individual members to devote themselves to personal projects. Archie Bronson Outfit returns in 2010, with new rhythms, more dancing, more tropical (like And So I Watch You from Afar on All Hail Bright Futures) and produced by an ex-DFA. Coconut , with overflowing exoticism, was a great success. And four years later, metronomics, the English exit Wild Crush marked by an increased presence of wind instruments and typical sunny spring disc.
