Artefact

Formed in the Niçois region in 2000, the group is initially a trio composed of Aldébaran (Guitare), Alucard (Guitare) and Julien (Chant). Starting to compose and record a demo, forming the basics of the artefact music, inspired by formations like Emperor, Opeth or Bathory, they offer a progressive Black Metal with multiple atmospheres inspired by magical themes and ancient legends. Son Of Solstice , the band's first album, was released in 2004 and is unanimously recognized in the Metal press. The band competed the same year in the Wacken Battle contest held at the Wacken Festival and was noted. Despite some changes in line-up, the band released Magic Spellcraft in 2006 and then Ruins in 2008. Artefact, however, ceased operations in September 2010.
