Biography

As Cities Burn formed in Mandeville (Louisiane) in 2002 around Colin Kimble and Cody Bonnette (then in the ska punk Alliance 103 group). After a few concerts, the band was spotted by Solid State Records, which signed them in 2004. Barely a year later, the first album Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest is born, between several concert series with Showbread, The Chariot, The Bled or Protest The Hero. Oriented Metalcore, the record turns out to be quite classic, combining the screaming song of TJ Bonette and the chorus of Cody Bonette. In early June 2010, As Cities Burn announced its split after a last tour. Bassist Pascal Barone throws the sponge shortly after the group has declared to be active. The musicians took the opportunity to invest the studios in early 2007, leaving a preview excerpt on their myspace. TJ Bonette left the band at that time, letting his brother Cody take the microphone. As a result Come Now, Sleep in August 2007. Less aggressive, more indie rock-oriented, As Cities Burn is moving towards a stronger sound. In 2008, As Cities Burn announced his return to the studio with a sound in line with Come Now, Sleep . The songs filter on the myspace, as well as the name of the disc: Hell Or High Water. This one arrives in the bins in April 2009 but the concerts do not follow. In July, a message on myspace announced that the group had separated again. Cody Bonette soon launched her new project, Hellohighwater.
