Astra

Astra's trip began in 2001 with Silver Sunshine formed in the arid lands of San Diego. The band consisted of Vaughan, Riley, Scalter, and the Andrew brothers. Astra was born five years later following the departure of one of the latter which led to the arrival of the multi-instrumentalists David Hurley and Brian Ellis who will take advantage of it to bring in their luggage a whole bunch of "new" sounds: Moog synth, flute, percussion...
Astra takes three years to release The Weirding, first album smelling good the influence of the progressive and psychedelic British mobilities of the 60's-70's, including Pink Floyd, Yes, King Crimson and Jethro Tull.
