Biography

Augury is what we can call a supergroup. Judge instead: Patrick Loisel, the singer/guitarist, was the thinking head of Kralizec, Dominique Lapointe, bassist, holds the bass of Quo Vadis, Etienne Gallo, drummer, played at Neuraxis, and Matthieu Marcotte, guitarist, was at Spasme. If these names don't tell you anything, know that all these groups are part of the elite of the Quebec underground, because Augury comes from Quebec, a country full of death metal bands all excellent (cf Cryptopsy, Martyr, Gorguts ...). Formed in 2001, the band released in 2004 its first album Concealed , unanimous among various webzines and world magazines. In 2005, the band signed a deal with the French label Adipocere Records, guaranteeing it a European distribution. Hopefully the group will gain the recognition it deserves...
