Avenged Sevenfold

Avenged Sevenfold is a band formed in 1999 by five high school students: M. Shadows on singing, Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance on guitars, The Reverend Tholomew On drums and Johnny Christ on bass. Originally from California, they claim to be influenced by various groups, such as Bad Religion , Iron Maiden , Metallica or Pantera ... Also known as A7X , their music is not related to the Christian origin of their name (which finds its genesis in the Bible, when God punishes Cain for the murder of Abel). Two years after the band's creation, the quintet sor its first Ep, Warmness On The Soul, quickly followed the same year with their first album Sounding The Seven Trumpet. In 2003, Walking The Fallen allowed them to tour outside the United States (for example, opening for Lostprophets in England). 2005 saw the release of the third opus, City Of Evil , where the song is more varied and the influences more marked. Their success is commercial is remarkable and the band shoots first part of the Guns N'Roses . Two years later, Avenged Sevenfold , the band's fourth album, was released.In 2009, The Reverend Tholomew Plague died as a result of a mixture of alcohol and medication prescribed for his heart problems. Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) was named alternate for the recording of the Nightmare album released in 2010. In January 2013, the band began recording their new album, and continued to publish excerpts from their new radio app in May 2013. Arin Ilejay is confirmed as a member of the official group to replace the late The Rev. Hail To The King comes out late August 2013. On November 4, 2015, the band's new drummer was announced via a podcast by Chris Jericho. This is Brooks Wackerman. On October 28, 2016 released a new album entitled The Stage .
