Biography
Dave - guitar Igor - drums Frank - bass Pat - singing Wyb - guitar
During the spring of 1994 in Maastricht, four buddies decided to unite in hardcore for better and worse. A week later, Wyb, Patrick, Frank and Richard recorded their first rehearsal. Backfire was born. Some time later was recorded the first demo, The Last Time. The reactions are positive and the German label Lost & Found ( Sick Of It All, Emils, Prong ...) offers a deal to Backfire. After some delay at the ignition, Who Told You Life is Easy? , first ep , is born and the training continues the concerts alongside Warzone , Madball and 25 Ta Life . Less than six months later, Backfire signed his first album, Rebel 4 Life . Impressed by quality, Warzone offers her the first part of a European tour for six weeks. At the end of this tour, a disagreement with Lost & Found led to the departure of Backfire to Kingfisher Records. Two months later, All Bets Are Off was born and Maastricht's formation followed a tour with 25 Ta Life. Richard takes a break to help Commin' Correct and record an album with his side-project, Determined . The sky fell on the head of the group in 1999. Richard commits suicide and Backfire is asking a lot of questions about his future. After a while of reflection, the Dutch decided to continue and recorded Still Dedicated with a new drummer, Igor Wouters ( Angel Crew). The band then toured with Madball, then appeared on the Eastpack Resistance Tour and released a new album, Change the Game. It takes five years for his successor to be born at GSR Music.
