Balmorhea , pronounce "Bal-moo-ray", is a duet of Austin that derives its name from the village of the same name, a real oasis in the Texan desert. With a plethora of musicians from various backgrounds, Balmorhea produces an instrumental post rock mostly acoustic. A first self-produced album in 2007 brought them closer to Western Vinyl who took care of Rivers Arms , the second album released the following year.
