Bananas At The Audience

Bananas At The Audience has been resident in Lyon and active since April 1994. Although quite open musically, and subject to evolution, the band quotes Fugazi , Bad Brains , Alice Donut , The Ex , Samiam or The Jesus Lizard as basic influences. The formula of the current formation is of the same shape as today's Julien for singing, Yan and Fred for guitars, Amar for drums and Franck for bass. In terms of human experiences, the group quotes the appearance between 1995 and 1997, of a second singer, a saxophonist and a percussionist, things shortened for simple internal reasons. In 1999, the band added to its line-up Bertrand with the task of making the sound and adding some samples on the already sonic compositions of the Bananas At The Audience. After three demos and some participations in various compilations, the band recorded five songs in 1998 for the split album Kaiser Cabinet with groups Shub de Nîmes and Mary Dress de Blois on the Nova Express label. The first eponymous album was released in January 2001, followed by the band, with the label SK Records de Lyon, the split EP Alert Au Macaque En Ferraille with Kaku Ki Buddah in January 2002, Staring At The Surface in September 2004 and, finally, Into The House Of Slumbers in October 2006.
