Be Lakor
Biography
Originally from Melbourne, the Australian quintet was formed in 2004 by George Kosmas (Guitare / Chant) and Jimmy Vanden Broeck (Battery) both live members of Rainshadow. Shaun Sykes (Guitare) John Richardson (Basse) and Steven Merry (Calviers) complete the line-up of Be'lakor. The band was discovered in 2007 with its first opus, The Frail Tide, a cross between Progressive Metal and Death Metal Melodium influenced by the tenors of the Finnish scene such as Insomnia, Omnium Gatherum, Noumena or Mors Principium Est. In 2009 the band pushed the nail with its second release, Stone's Reach, which made them more widely known outside Australia. Be'lakor is nevertheless very discreet on stage, apart from some of the first parts of the Australian tour of Turisas and a mini tour in Europe. In 2012 they returned with Of Breath And Bone , third opus also appreciated by critics and played in some European festivals in 2015. At the end of the year, drummer Jimmy left the band, while Be'lakor worked on his fourth album.
