Biography

Biffy Clyro was born in the mid-1990s in Scotland. Composed of three musicians/songwriters (two of whom are twins), the band has fairly broad influences ( Guns, N, Roses, Nirvana, Weezer, Korn, and Oasis), influences that will soon grow even further thanks to the passion of these Scots for independent American rock ( Far, The Red House Painters, Mineral and the unmanageable Fugazi). The members of Biffy Clyro produce an increasingly ambitious music and are then spotted by Beggars Banquet during one of their formidable stage performances where they mix with aggressive talent, lyricism and delicacy. The label will soon release Blackened Sky (2002), a powerful and spiritual debut album. A second album named Vertigo Of Bliss followed in 2003, revealing a little more the true personality of the Scottish, made of shade and light, tension and soothing. A personality that makes Biffy Clyro a unique group.
