Big Ups

Country: United States
Styles: Emo Noise Rock Post-Hardcore

Biography

The course of this New York quartet is closely linked to that of Aaron and the Burrs, local Surf Rock formation and first group of two of the members escaped in 2010 to found Big Ups. In the early stages of a light and even easy Punk Rock, the formation quickly decided to leave more space for its compositions to develop. Far from embarking on long cavalcades, this change of approach nevertheless causes a radical stylistic evolution both musically and in the themes addressed for Big Ups which definitely takes shape on a 7" shared with Flagland in 2013. Now followers of a Post-Hardcore, "a little nerd" of their own confession, and very tinted early 90's, the four Americans return early 2014 with a first album signed by Dead Labour and Tough Love Records: Eighteen Hours Of Static. Big Ups has since crossed the Atlantic on a British tour with a lot of positive feedback, as well as a lot of scenes and new titles.
