Biography

Black Cobra is a duet formed in 2002 in Miami by former Cavity Jason Landrian (guitar/song) and Rafael Martinez (battery). What was only a leisure time during the holiday at papa-maman's will nevertheless become a little more serious, since the two companions will try to visit as much as possible to repeat, even to travel thousands of kilometers between New York and Los Angeles. A first 3-track demo will eventually emerge in 2004, but it takes two years before Black Cobra delivers his first album, Bestial. This first effort will make a strong impression on the sludge scene then in full explosion. The band then followed the tours including a European with Acid King with whom Rafael Martinez played bass. They quickly recomposed new titles for a split with Eternal Elysium and then released their second Feather And Stone production. Follow other long and many tours that will pass through France with their friends of Saviours . Shortly thereafter, they left At A Loss Recordings to settle with the very famous and select Southern Lords who followed a new policy of opening (understanding: other things from Sunn O)) and Black Metal) and sent there in 2009 a Chronomega that would not make as many waves as its predecorators. Californians put the cover back together with Invernal in 2011, before returning to the road alongside Kyuss Lives! and The Swords.
