Black Stone Cherry
Biography
Black Stone Cherry is originally from Kentucky and perfectly embodies the idea of a band representing Southern rock with modernity. Young, aged 20-23, they grew up in Edmonton surrounded by music, whether it was hard'n heavy, bluegrass, jazz or even gospel, which allowed them to develop a style of their own, in the middle of nowhere, like so many bands formed by passion, but also to deceive boredom. It was therefore in June 2001, still teenagers, that the four minots formed their band, on the musical lands of Kentucky Headhunters , group of the father of one of them. Encouraged by a whole city and convinced of their destiny necessarily rock n' roll, they released in 2006 a first eponymous album, a successful mix of heavy rock at the Black Label Society and melodies that Led Zeppelin would not have denied.
