Black Veil Brides
Biography
Andy Biersack, singer of the band but also multi-instrumentalist, gave birth to Black Veil Brides in 2006, Ohio. But it wasn't until 2009, in Hollywood, after many changes of musicians, that the line-up took shape with Andy Biersack singing, Jeremy Miles Ferguson guitar, violin and chorus, Jake Pitts guitar, Christian Coma drums and Ashley Purdi bass, replaced in 2019 by Lonny Eagleton. Inspired by bands like Misfits or Motley Crue, Andy Biersack wants to offer the world a music rallying for the emo community, which is too often discriminated against. Their first single, Knives and Pen , was released on 17 June 2009, accompanied by his clip. The success is such that this day will be renamed BVB Day by fans. In 2010, the band released its first album: We Stitch These Wounds . In 2011, thanks to the resounding success of this first effort, Black Veil Brides received the "Best New Music Group 2011" award at the Revover Golden Gods Awards. One year after their first album, the band released their second album: Set the World on Fire, accompanied by the single Fallen Angels. And we can say that the musicians will not have chaumé, a first EP, Rebels , will be released at the end of 2011 and the band returns in 2012 in studio to record their third album: Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones which will be released in early 2013. Once again, this work will be hailed by critics, especially as it is an album-concept accompanying the release of the film Legion of the Black, also created by the band. They continue their momentum by releasing Black Veil Brides in 2014 and then Vale in 2018. The Americans took more and more time to finalize their albums, and in 2021, right during the pandemic, came out The Phantom Tomorrow. This sixth opus is also close to Wretched and Divine in terms of composition. Even if this album is not accompanied by a film, the film side is felt enormously since it is again an album-concept. Black Veil Brides will then release their second EP, The Mourning, in 2022.
