Biography

BlackCube is a Lille progressive metal band whose musical identity, complex, borrows traditional influences such as progressive rock, heavy metal or symphony, but also does not hesitate to turn to more modern styles such as doom or crash. Formed in 2004, BlackCube is first and foremost dedicated exclusively to the stage and covers. The line-up stabilized in the summer of 2008 and the group decided to focus on composition. He wrote his first four songs, then recorded them at the Red Studio, and presses his first EP in early 2010. In an effort to create a more consistent repertoire, members dive into writing. At the end of 2011, the band finished composing the tracks of its first album titled Last Exile . It is recorded, mixed and mastered at the Red Studio in self-production, and is finalized at the end of 2012. The band signed a contract with Brennus Music and the album was released on June 24, 2013. The compositions offer multiple facets and mix different universes, while maintaining their impact.
