Boss Keloïd
Biography
Formed in 2010 in Wigan, UK by Paul Swarbrick (Guitare), Paul Thomason (Guitare), Alex Hurst (Chant), Liam Pendlebury-Green (Basse) and Chris Thomason (Batterie), Boss Keloid is a rather atypical group of Sludge, not hesitant to peek in several complementary styles: a large base of technical Sludge, Doom developments on a large scale, a few prog treats, and a constant creative madness scattered throughout their compositions. Sometimes Southern, sometimes fusion, sometimes psychedelic, but invariably dirty and furious, ideas are not lacking, and the result is often delicious. Ste Arands quickly replaced Chris behind the drums and in 2011 the band released a first demo entitled Angular Beef Lesson . Paul Thomason also left after his release. Boss Keloid then continued as a quartet and released his debut album, The Calming Influence Of Teeth in 2013, widely hailed by critics, comparing the band to the debuts of Mastodon and Cluch. After a tour with Mastodon , Opeth and Raging Speedhorn , Adam Swarbrick replaced Liam on bass, then the band recorded his second album Herb Your Enthusiasm , recorded and mixed by Chris Fielding ( Conan , Electric Wizard , Napalm Death , Tait ). He was released in 2016 at Black Bow Records.
