Biography

Botanist is the project of a man from San Francisco, Roberto Martinelli, exiled from all forms of civilization. In its sanctuary of greenery conducive to recollection, man awaits the eradication of the human species, and the renewal of nature. It was in 2009 that Botanist took root and delivered his message of a powerful and transcendent nature through an experimental and atypical Black Metal. The musician records the drum, the song, but also an amazing instrument for the genre, a dulcimer. The first effort I: The Suicide Tree / II: A Rose From The Dead , released in 2011 and already shows ambition with a double album of forty tracks. Botanist is gradually becoming familiar with American bands that show a new face of Black Metal like Bosse-De-Nage, Ash Borer or Fell Voices. A second album, III: Doom In Bloom / Allies released in 2012 and the band signed with Flenser Records for the release of IV: Mandragora and a split with Palace Of Worms in 2013. After a few concerts with Behold... The Arctopus, Botanist returns the following year with VI: Flora.
