Formed: 1993
Styles: Mathcore

Biography

It was in 1993 in Seattle that Dave Verellen (song), Dave Knudson (guitar), Brian Cook (bass) and Tim Latona (battery) decided to found Botch. For almost 10 years the combo will forge with fervent its technical and extravagant style between hardcore punk and tortuous metal. Many times copied, never matched, the combo will open the voice to many formations. With American Nervoso (1999) and We Are The Romans (2000), Botch has forever marked the extreme scene of his imprint in the same way as Catharsis or Orchid . As all (good) things end, the adventure ends in 2002 following an unforgettable tour. The same year, An Anthology Of Dead Ends , posthumous album with evocative title that closes in a beautiful way the history of the precursors of the mathcore genre.
