Biography
Bowery Electric was born in New York from the music association of Lawrence Chandler and Martha Schwenener. In 1994, the duo embossed the step of the freshly landed British shoegaze wave across the Atlantic but quickly developed its own universe at the borders of Shoegaze, Drone, Ambient and Trip Hop. A unique way of ringing that gently leads them until the dawn of the 2000s where the one-on-one adventure finally stops. Since then Lawrence Chandler has continued to focus on musical experimentation through remixes or collaborations with Sonic Boom or Kevin Shields ( My Bloody Valentine ). Martha Schwenener was featured solo as Echostar with a single album released in 2003: Sola.
