
Brant Bjork
Biography
Brant Bjork is one of the musicians who participated in the creation of Stoner Rock. Brant Bjork met Josh Homme (now leader of the Queens of the Stone Age) and John Garcia from high school and founded Kyuss with them as drummer. They will record together Sons of Kyuss , Wretch , Blues for the Red Sun as well as Welcome to Sky Valley then Brant Bjork will leave the band some time later, in 1993, judging Kyuss "more fun." He will participate in the writing of some Fu Manchu songs, also produce their album No One Rides for Free before joining the band as drummer for Action is Go in 1997. Then began a solo career and various recordings on guitar and singing with the Operators in 2002, still in a very Stoner and groovy vein. In 2004 Brant Bjork recorded with the Bros a first album, Saved by Magic . The combo will tour alongside Danko Jones. In 2007 Somera Sol was released on Duna Records, distributed in France by Differ-Ant.
