Brazen
Biography
Mark Blakebrough (Battery) Michel Blanc (Basse, Chant) Robin Jossen (Guitare, Chant) Emmanuel Mastrangelo (Clavier) Thibault Schneeberger (Guitare, Chant)
Robin Jossen, Thibault Schneeberger and Loïc Broennimann, three young childhood friends, founded Brazen in 1995. The trio quickly moves towards a dark hardcore indie rock / post and dissonant but also generous in arrangements and melodies. In 1997 Emile Nobs replaced Loïc Broennimann at bass and the self-produced group a first 7" in the wake. This record initiator of Brazen's personality opens the doors of a first real tour. Until 2002, the Swiss continued along this path and culminated in the excellent Orphaned, an album placing Brazen at the level of bands like Cave In or Favez. In 2006, Aura, Dora signed the return of the combo in a new light. Progressive rock, (dream) pop vaporous, psychedelism, instrumental richness, everything passes there without the band denying yet its indie rock origins always perceptible through energetic and sincere interpretation.
