Biography

Breaking Strain was formed in 2003 near Clermont-Ferrand. Originally trio, the formation releases a first 7 inches but also records the departure of its drummer. It takes the auvergnats a little while to take the shot. Taking the bull by the horns, Vincent and Hubert decided to dispense with battery and resumed their activity with a beatbox. In 2006, Breaking Strain took the direction of Normandy to put his first ep, Satellites will Touch the Ground . They were then joined by Antoine to the battery, and continued their journey by recording the Eps Flush (2008), Mapple Joe has nothing to do cause he's in the cell (2009) and Life Game (2010). The trio practises an abrasive and efficient music, where catchy riffs and lyrics combine with sincerity, honesty and without concession. In January 2013, Breaking Strain released his first album, Spit And Die , recorded at Squirrel's Kitchen by Antoine Gohin, mixed and mastered at Blasting Room Studios by Jason Liverpool. Breaking Strain records an EP called Flinking, which was born in 2016. After a parenthesis where Vince will take advantage of it to stage Sting Collins (2016-2018), the band prepares for the release of an album for 2022.
